The course involves 6-8 hours of online self-directed learning followed by a 2x 2hr workshops (live zoom) focusing on application and technical skill refining.

Cancellation Policy:
A full refund, less a $25 admin fee will be issued if a cancellation occurs more than 1 month before the start date. No refund will be issued within a month of the course start date.
Course Objectives:
This course will examine current evidence-based and best practice approaches to the inclusion of exercise for the rehabilitation of common musculoskeletal injuries.
Topics will include:
- Review of basic exercise physiology and exercise principles.
- Assessment and monitoring of exercise and functional capacity.
- Goal oriented exercise selection and application during various stages of rehab.
- (Acute, chronic, motor control issues, performance, and well-being)
- Recovery strategies to support tissue recovery and adaptation.
- A case-based practical application workshop.
- Review of common evidence based soft tissue-rehab guidelines.
Instructor Bio: Steve Di Ciacca Msc, BSc(PT), BHKin, FCAMPT, Dip Sport
Steve is an instructor in the Masters of Sport and Exercise Medicine and Masters of Physical Therapy Programs at Western University. He has worked for the past 20 years as a physio and strength and condition coach. Exercise medicine has been at the core of his career and in particular, as the former lead(s) of Sport Medicine and Sport Science with both Rowing and Cycling Canada’s Olympic teams. Steve truly enjoys sharing his experience and expertise in the inclusion and application of exercise from early-stage interventions to improving health and performance.
